Message from the President

Wendy RendaI hope you are all enjoying the holidays with friends and family.  Thank you to everyone who is supporting me as I learn my new role as President.  I am always open to advice and suggestions to keep me on the right path.

We had a fun and informative meeting at the St. James Club in July.  We even had lobster rolls!  A big shout out to all the volunteers and Council Members that worked tirelessly to put the meeting together.  It is no easy task.

Thank you to member, Ginny Argeros, for her talk on "Scottish Prisoner's of War in the American Colonies of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine".  Based on the lively discussion following the presentation, it was amazing to hear how many members have Scottish ancestors.  I grew up in Saugus, near the Iron Works, and always knew of the Scottish workers but I now know a lot more about them and their circumstances.

We are always looking for new members to keep the organization vibrant.  Talk to your friends, neighbors and family and let them know what we are all about.  If able, volunteer to man a table at a local genealogy event to promote us.

Please consider serving as an Officer in our great organization.  Elections will be held at our annual meeting in July for Registrar and Treasurer.  If you are able to help, let President Wendy Renda know.

We look forward to another wonderful Annual Meeting. Save the date: the 122nd Annual Meeting of the Piscataqua Pioneers will be held at the St. James Lodge in Hampton, NH on July 25th.

Be sure to keep us informed of any changes in your contact information so you can stay informed.

Wendy Renda, President
